NextSign for land surveyors
Guide & help for land surveyors
NextSign is developed in close collaboration with the land surveying industry. With integrations to e-Boks and the Danish Ownership Register (Ejerfortegnelsen) – and automatic letter fallback when digital delivery is not possible – we make it easy to meet your notification and disclosure obligations. On this page you will find everything you need to get the most out of NextSign.
Ask our AI assistant a question
We have trained an AI assistant with Claude specifically on how land surveyors use NextSign. Ask it anything from setting up templates to name and address protection, and get an answer right away – around the clock.
Built for the land surveyor's daily work
NextSign is a web-based platform for digital signatures and secure document distribution. Together with land surveyors, we have built a solution where neighbour notifications, service messages and documents for signing are sent directly to e-Boks – via address, CPR or CVR number – without you needing to know the recipient's email.
If a recipient cannot be reached digitally, for example due to name and address protection, we automatically send a physical letter instead. Combined with the full log of delivery, opening and signing, your documentation is always in order.
e-Boks with letter fallback
Send to an address, a CPR or CVR number. If the recipient cannot receive digital mail, the delivery automatically falls back to a physical letter via DAO or PostNord.
The Ownership Register
Automatically look up the registered owners from an address and let the system replace your recipients with the real owners – on single cases, during import and in mass sendings.
Documentation & log
Follow every delivery from dispatch to signature. The log shows when documents were delivered, opened and signed – ready for your case files.
Mass sending & import
Upload an Excel sheet with your recipients, have the columns mapped automatically, and send one case per row – with a fallback chain from e-Boks to SMS and email.
Video guides
Short videos showing the most important workflows in NextSign – from your first case to advanced mass sendings.

Frequently asked questions
Answers to the questions we hear most often from land surveyors.
When you send to e-Boks via an address, we first attempt digital delivery. If e-Boks reports that the person cannot be reached – for example due to name and address protection or opted-out digital mail – we automatically send a physical letter via DAO or PostNord. All it requires is that your communication template is set up with 'Fallback to DAO', and that the 'Fallback to letter' checkbox is ticked on the last step when you create the case.
When a person has name and address protection, the signature service cannot verify the signer's name, and GST therefore sometimes does not accept the signature on its own. The solution is to enable 'CPR validation' on the recipient: The system then confirms the person's CPR number before the documents can be accessed, and GST accepts the signature because it can be proven who signed.
No. Via e-Boks you can send to an address (we validate it against BBR and DAWA), a CPR number or a CVR number. If you only fill in the address, we reach all residents over the age of 15; if you also fill in the name, we only reach that person. For CVR numbers, we find the company's digital mailbox ourselves.
On the recipient step of case creation you will find 'Import'. Here you can pull recipients from a CSV or Excel file, from your contact book, or by pasting a list of CVR numbers. Columns are mapped automatically to name, email, phone and address – and you can adjust the mapping before importing. If you have the Ownership Register integration, you can also choose to replace the imported addresses with the registered owners.
It looks up the property's registered owners directly in the Danish Ownership Register via the Data Distributor (Datafordeleren) based on an address. During import you can tick 'Find real owners via the Ownership Register', and the system replaces your imported addresses with the registered owners – both persons and companies. The integration is activated by agreement, so contact us if you don't have it yet.
You choose a form or a standardised document as the basis, upload your spreadsheet and pick the sheet and header row yourself. Columns are mapped automatically to both recipient fields and merge fields in the documents. Each recipient can have a delivery chain – for example e-Boks first, then SMS and email – and before sending you see a review where rows with errors can be excluded. The system creates one case per row, and your setup is continuously saved as a draft so you can resume later.
Yes – on email and SMS deliveries we send reminders automatically (by default 2 reminders, 3 days apart), and you can always send a manual reminder from the case overview. e-Boks does not support reminders, but there the log shows that the delivery has been received – and you can add the recipient's email if you want to remind them that way.
PDF, Word/DOCX and Excel. Word documents are automatically converted to PDF before sending. You can upload up to 25 documents per case, and you can mark a document as an attachment so it does not require a signature.
Yes. CPR validation is not about the validity of the signature, but about placing the documents behind a login so only the right recipient can see them. The MitID signature itself is just as legally binding without CPR validation.
Your superuser can send a registration link for manual login, or you can sign in with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure) if your organisation uses it. If a colleague has lost access – forgotten password, new phone or locked account – the superuser also restores access. If you have no active superuser at all, contact us at support@nextsign.dk.
