Save time with a preset

See how to save your usual choices, such as folder and recipients, in a preset, lock fields and start new cases in one click.

A preset saves the choices you would otherwise make on every case: folder, email, language, signing methods, reminders, deadline, documents and fixed recipients. When you start a case with the preset, it's all filled in.

As an administrator, you can also lock fields so they can't be changed on the case. That way, cases of the same type are always sent the same way.

How to do it

  1. Open Presets. Go to Presets and click "Create".
  2. Give it a name. Use a name that says when to use it, such as Customer agreement or Employment.
  3. Choose the fixed settings. Fill in the fields that should be the same every time, such as folder, email template and reminders.
  4. Lock fields. Tick the lock next to a field so it can't be changed on the case. A field can only be locked once it has a value.
  5. Add fixed recipients. Turn on "Default recipients" and add the people who should always be included, such as your bookkeeper.
  6. Save and start a case. Save the preset and click the icon to create a case with it. The case opens with your choices filled in.

Good to know

  • You can also pick a preset when you create a case from Create case.
  • Set as default makes the preset apply automatically when you quickly create a case by dropping in a document.
  • Drag the list to change the order, so the most used ones are at the top.
  • "Hide populated fields" hides the fields that are already filled in, so the case is quicker to finish.
