See how to build a KYC form with MitID log-in, an encrypted CPR number, a PEP question and an ID photo upload, send it to a customer and see the result.

With a KYC form, you collect what you need to know your customer: a name verified with MitID, a CPR number, address and phone, photo ID and whether the customer is a politically exposed person (PEP).

The video shows the whole process: you build the form, send it as a personal invitation, the customer fills it in on their own link, and you see the result under Submissions. Below, the steps are described.

How to do it

  1. Choose the entry point and outcome. Create a form and choose "Invite specific people" and "Save the response" under Overview. Under People, create the role Customer.
  2. Add an identity step. Under "Form", click the heading of the first page and choose "Log in with MitID / eID" under "Page type". Under "Allowed eID providers", choose the eIDs the customer may use, for example MitID, BankID or Personalausweis.
  3. Add the details. Add a CPR number, address and phone on the next page. The CPR number is encrypted from the start ("Encrypt the answer"). For each question, choose under "Who answers this?" that the customer answers it.
  4. Ask about PEP. Add a yes/no question about politically exposed persons and a follow-up question. Under "Show this question when", set the follow-up to show only when the customer answers yes.
  5. Ask for documents. Add "Passport" or "Image upload" for photo ID and "File upload" for other documents, for example proof of address. Tick "Allow upload from phone" so the customer can take the picture with their phone.
  6. Publish and send. Click "Publish form". Under Submissions, click "Create webflow", choose the form, enter the customer's name and email and click "Start flow".
  7. See the result. Under Submissions, open the response. You see the verified identity, the answers and the uploaded files. The CPR number is shown as hidden until you click "View" and confirm with your password or two-factor code.

Good to know

  • Questions that aren't assigned to a role aren't shown on the customer's link. Remember to choose the customer for each question.
  • The identity step stores the provider, the time and the details the eID returns, for example name and date of birth. They don't fill in the form's fields automatically.
  • The link to the phone can also be sent by SMS instead of the QR code. The QR code is free, while each SMS costs the company credits.

Questions and answers

Is the CPR number stored securely?

Yes. The answer is stored encrypted and shown as hidden under Submissions. To see it, you confirm with your password or two-factor code.

What if the customer can't log in with MitID?

The customer has to confirm their identity to get past the identity step. You can allow several eIDs on the page, for example MitID Erhverv, BankID or Personalausweis.
